AION / PRIVACY

Privacy policy

This policy explains how AION uses personal information when you visit withaion.net, join the private alpha waitlist, or contact us.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

Who is responsible and how to contact us

AION operates this website and its private alpha waitlist. Chris is the contact for questions about your information, the waitlist, and this policy. Email chris@withaion.net.

Information we collect

The public waitlist form does not collect payment details, portfolio information, or investment preferences.

Why we use it

Waitlist invitations and updates are based on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time. Responding to enquiries and protecting the website support our legitimate interests in communicating with people who contact us and running a reliable, secure service.

Providing an email address is voluntary, but we need it to register you on the waitlist and contact you about the alpha. Registration does not guarantee an invitation.

Invited account information is used to provide the access you request and protect that access. Account access is separate from consent to waitlist updates. Member password messages are service messages, not marketing.

Email and withdrawing consent

Waitlist messages are sent from chris@withaion.net. To stop receiving them or ask us to remove your registration, reply to an AION email or write to that address. Removing your registration does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing based on your consent.

The welcome email acknowledges a registration. It does not verify ownership of the email address. If someone used your address without your permission, contact us so we can remove it.

Services involved

AION stores waitlist registrations in its WordPress database. Administrators can view registrations and export them to manage the waitlist. Access to those records is restricted to authorised administration.

Service providers support hosting, backups, email, security, and domain name services. The current setup includes IONOS for mailbox and email delivery, Wordfence for website security, and Cloudflare for domain name services. These services may process the information necessary to perform their roles. Domain name services do not receive the contents of the waitlist form through DNS lookups.

Some providers operate internationally. Contact Chris if you need information about processing locations and the arrangements applicable to a particular service.

We do not sell waitlist addresses or share them with other organisations for their own marketing. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to address abuse or protect legal rights.

Cookies, analytics, and AI

WordPress and security tools may use essential cookies for authentication, administration, or protection of the website. We do not currently run advertising trackers or behavioural analytics on the public AION website. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies may affect sign-in or security features.

AION uses AI in its research work. Registering for the waitlist and sending its welcome email do not send your email address to an AI model or create an investment profile. We do not use waitlist registration to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.

How long information is kept

Waitlist records are kept for the private alpha invitation and update process, unless you ask us to remove them earlier. When that process ends, records that are no longer needed should be removed or handled under a separate notice if you choose to become a member.

Enquiries and technical or security records are kept for the time needed to respond, resolve issues, protect the service, or meet applicable obligations. Restricted backups may retain older copies after information is removed from the live system. Those copies are for recovery, not for contacting the waitlist. Contact us if you need details about retention for a particular record.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy. You can withdraw consent for waitlist messages at any time.

Send requests to chris@withaion.net. We may need enough information to verify that a request concerns your own data. You can also raise a concern with the data protection authority where you live or work.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the website or its data use changes. The date above shows the latest revision. If we introduce payments or materially different uses of your information, we will explain those changes before collecting or using information for them.
